Chicken And Corn Stew

  • 6 pieces of chicken
  • 2 carrots, cut into thick slices
  • 1 onion, cut into 4 pieces
  • 1 large potato, cut into wedges
  • 1 stalk celery, cut into pieces
  • 4 cloves of garlic
  • ½ pack Supa Corn
  • 1.5 litre water
  • 1 bayleaf
  • 2-3 cloves
  • 2-3 cardamom
  • 2” stick of cinnamon
  • 1 vegetable stock cube
  • 2 tbsp cornflour
  • 100 ml milk
  • Salt and Pepper


Add all the ingredients along with the crumbled stock cube to the water in a large vessel. Bring to a boil, turn down the heat and simmer for 45 minutes, till the vegetables are soft and the chicken is cooked. Mix the cornflour with 100 ml of milk and make a paste, add to the simmering stew to thicken, once it is thick, turn of the heat. check seasoning of salt and pepper. Serve hot with a side of garlic toast.
